Tibetan Collection
Design by Richard Salter Interiors
The rugs in our Tibetan Collection are each hand knotted in Nepal by Tibetan Refugees using traditional methods and materials. Raw wool is brought into Nepal from Tibet, where sheep live at high altitudes in extreme conditions that result in some of the finest, strongest and lanolin rich wool in the world. After the wool is dyed, the rugs are hand knotted on cotton warps, using looms and techniques that haven’t changed since their inception several centuries ago.
